Your Valley Does Not Define Your Identity

For a long time, I let my valleys name me. Broken. Unworthy. Forgotten. Each painful season seemed to write a label across my heart. But God never called me by those names. He called me His beloved, His child, His redeemed.

The valley may describe what you’re walking through, but it is not your identity. Your true identity is rooted in Christ — and no darkness, no loss, no failure can rewrite what He has spoken over you.

When we let God’s truth speak louder than our valley, we begin to walk in freedom. The labels of the past fall away, and the name He gives us becomes our anchor.

See, I have engraved you on the palms of my hands.”
— Isaiah 49:16

“Lord, remind me that no valley defines me. My identity is safe in Your hands.”
